Hereos to DVD also in August

As I suspected, they want to get the S1 DVDs in store before S2 premieres.
This is going to be a busy month. I'm sure Supernatural will be released around this time too. Clicky

Apparently Lucas is now working with the Post Office. I'm sure there are jokes here, but it's too early in the morning.

Second season of new Doctor Who on Sci-Fi Sept 29!

Yay! We don't have to wait until next Spring (or download from the internet)!

Sci Fi Channel and BBC Worldwide Americas today announced a major licensing agreement for the second season of Doctor Who. The series will return to Sci Fi in September 2006, kicking off with a two-hour premiere that will include the 'Christmas Invasion' special in which David Tennant ('Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire') was introduced as the tenth Time Lord.

Han Shot First!

He just loves figuring out ways to make us buy the same movie again and again. The original cuts of Star Wars are coming out on DVD this Fall. Even though they said those prints were not in any shape to be transferred to DVD, here they come.

And then next year will be the 30th anniversary, with a 3-D release.

And then we will have to buy them all over again in HD-DVD.

Eh. I've got the originals on LaserDisc. If anything I'll get these used so George won't get any more of my money directly.

Welcome to the Southern Scoundrels

Well, we have a few members of the community now, with more to come I am sure.
As the community info states - this is just a place to discuss all forms of speculative fiction (Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror, etc.) with other fans in the south. The mod and his friends are mostly located in the West TN/North Mississippi area, but all are welcome.

So, let's get this thing started. What do you think of the first season of the new Doctor Who being shown on Sci-Fi Channel? I'm loving every episode!
